(1) The producer or distributor shall obtain certification from the Central Food Laboratory before selling any product other than milk and milk in Nepal.
(2) In the case of products that have been sold in Nepal, the manufacturer or distributor shall obtain certification from the Central Food Laboratory within ninety days from the date of commencement of this Act.
(3) For the purpose of sub-sections (1) and (2), the manufacturer or distributor shall submit an application to the Central Food Laboratory in the prescribed format along with the sample of the product and necessary documents.
